Bombing in Iligan
The bombing in Iligan City yesterday was a bitter pill to take. My hometown is in a pretty bad situation. I have heard this news from my brother’s bulletin in Friendster and searched, contacted people to inquire on the happenings.
At around 5 o’clock yesterday, August 17. 2008, two improvised explosive devices went off 20 minutes apart in two budget hotels in Iligan City. At the Traveler’s Inn near Lodu Building, along Cabili Ave., where three people were wounded and another exploded later at the Caprice Lodge, along Badelles St.

Following this were attacks by MILF in Kolambugan and some parts of Linamon. Also there were unconfirmed reports that a bus of Rural Transit was ambushed. Also, Sir Januo just got word that in the Barangay Kabaksanan and in some other barangays, there were killings of some kids by chopping off their heads. Two barangay captains are now dead also in kauswagan and another place by cutting their head off.
Iliganons are closely monitoring this tragic happening in our beloved city. May peace prevail in this tri-people land of Mindanao.. especially in Iligan.
