PicLyf.com: ON3 Startup Pitching Competition 2011 Winner Goes to Silicon Valley

This morning, I read an email from Techtalks.ph founder, Ms. Tins announcing that** PicLyf.com** is one of the grand winners of the ON3 Startup Pitching Competition 2011.

“Among other benefits, Eric won a 3-month stay at Plug&Play’s business incubator in Palo Alto/Silicon Valley, California. While at PnP, he will get support from PnP’s in-house and industry contacts such as investors/VCs, lawyers, other developers, other startuppers and more… all in the interest of ACCELERATING his progress/success in the startup world. If you recall, Eric Su was a speaker at a TechTalks event last February 2011 and spoke about the joys and pains of building his startup, PicLyf. And now he is going to SILICON VALLEY to continue his dream. “

I met Eric Su when he presented about the challenges on handling a startup during one of the events of TechTalks.ph. It was very inspiring to hear the personal story of a tech entrepreneur who could well be a good example of how far one can go with an idea and a good execution in a third world country like the PH.
