The Viral but Dirty Facebook Marketing Tricks: Your Likes for Peanuts!

If your hired “expert” tells you he can get the Facebook page to have 500 likes in three days, it’s time to turn your back and walk away. Actually, don’t walk. Run. These people you hired just might be the ones posting these:

• Facebook Guru – Get 500 Likes in 1 week – $20.
• Add 500 Facebook fans/likes – $11.

Translation: Help us market a Facebook page. In exchange for peanuts.

Is this the marketing strategy your “Facebook expert” executes on Facebook? To hire other people and pay $20 to get 500 likes in just a week three days! I may need to stare at this job posting for a while to let the thought sink in.

I applaud the web worker that will be working on this kind of project. 500 LIKES for $20. Of course, I was being sarcastic. Maybe, maybe.. this is possible. Of course, I am not a “Facebook expert” so I just do not know. Here are some possible “strategies” to make this doable:

STRATEGY 1: FAKE ACCOUNTS

• Create 500 email address.
• Register them all at Facebook.
• Verify the fake Facebook account.
• Have all 500 accounts to like the page.

STRATEGY 2: LINK SPAMMING

• Create a new Facebook profile.
• Choose an alluring profile pic preferably a blondie who looks friendly enough.
• Search for top fan pages on Facebook.
• Like the pages like crazy.
• Post Facebook page links on all those pages.

Job posting 2:

Now here’s a crazier one. You need tactics here since all fans must be real, must have recent status updates, and must all be from India. You must get creative because results are evaluated after three days. Yes! Read that again —

STRATEGY 3: THREE-STEP VIRAL PAGES

Three Step Attack: Having the user complete three steps to view the video. Of course, includes liking the page.

STRATEGY 4: CREATING A HATE PAGE

Easier to hate than like? Another “viral” fan page technique.

STRATEGY 5: CREATING A LOL JK PAGE

Common “viral” fan page technique. Untargeted. Might be good for meme or entertainment sites.

STRATEGY 6: FREE REPORT!! BUT INVITE YOUR FRIENDS FIRST, ETC.

Another “viral” fan page technique. X value (depending on the made for adsense or “report” site it’s referring to).

STRATEGY 7: CONFUSED EVENT SPAM

STRATEGY 7: OMG YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS VIDEO! SPAM

STRATEGY 8: WHO VIEWS YOUR PROFILE EVENT

Before this becomes an uber trend for clients. I have a few questions for you, Mr. Client — What value does this bring in to your product or service? Who are these likers – targeted or random? Most likely, the page value for those above are sure ZERO. But of course, most of these strategies link to sites that are surely just MFA (Made For Adsense) blogs. This surely does nothing of value to the product or service you are marketing.
